I planted with a guy who had one. In contrast I used to go buy a nice cheap farmers straw hat. both were light, kept the sun of the head and allowed the wind to blow through your hair.

hey donkey. I can suggest taking your shovel to a hardware store and finding a shovel or "spade" that has a similar shaft in width and length. See if it will be easy to take it appart so you can get at the shaft. mke sure you're not paying trillions for it too. Maybe check around the hardw...
