Re: Spring Coast 2017 - Or Not?
Currently, our Start date was supposed to be Feb 7th. We started on the 17th. Now sitting at a hotel in a holding pattern. Between snow at sea level and frozen ground our crew is stuck. A new arctic mass is settling over the island today. So, we are off until Monday with no real news.

A great company. Decent prices, professional and the camp had delectable cuisine. I had some time between contracts and filled it by jumping on the with them for the last week of the season. We stayed south of Valemount at a lodge that also had hot tub use. Intergity is run by Seth Macdonald & i...

Re: Big Sky Silviculture
Since I have been personally attacked here, Im gonna give it straight. In my 20 plus years as a planter , I have fought hard for planter rights so that the rest our community didn't have to go through what we did in the early 90's and for some other 80's. However, had I known having these past compa...

Big Sky has treated me with the most respect I have ever felt in this industry. I did not make $700/day, nor do I ever expect to. The water was clean and up to standards, the cabins Simon was referring to as "lacking electricity or running water" were warm and dry, the washrooms had runni...

Just like Scotter. I fly a lot. Size is the key and how you pack stuff. But weight is the big one. Especially when 23kg is max for flights. I'm super proud to say I have been able to carry all my coastal planting gear, into 1 suitcase. Burton makes them they are called "wheelie cargo bags"...

How about neither. Coast range will give you BC experience but check their reputation in the industry including their safety record. Outland in Ontario is better run than Outland in Alberta. More experienced management out there and seemingly a longer season. Personally, I would attempt to contact a...
