I watched one guy eat a 20cm spruce seedling. Tree, roots, dirt, fert, etc. He got it all down then puked it up 5 minutes later. Make sure there is no puking clause in your contract, then do it.

Re: GETTING FIRED FROM TREEPLANTING QUESTION
being late at the end of the day is really annoying and if it is consistent, then you defintely need a talking to. I think the fact that you argued and didn't appologize is what got you fired. What I usually do with planters is if they are late, tell them to stop being late. If they continue, I don'...

Re: Stephen Harper just gave me 2000$
From what I've read here, most of the planters collecting EI would have the option to work, they just don't want to subject themselves to a job they consider below them (i.e. work at mcdonalds). You yourself just said you go off and ski for 3 months instead of working. Why not get certified to be a ...

Well, I am planting an Abitibi contract starting in 2 weeks. I think it is on the last year of a 3 year contract, so hopefully that provides some sort of job security. Should be interesting to see how the going backrupt thing affects quality checking and audits.

I like hearing other people's opinions. I agree there is a spectrum of ways in which EI is collected and it would be impossible to create a line of what is right and what is wrong. I am against the one end of the spectrum that takes advantage of the system. For me, this is mostly embodied by some tr...

I've been paying into EI for quite some years now and have never claimed any and it isn't as if I had a choice about it, I have to pay into it. yeah, I was just kidding. Although I am a big fan of pair planting (if you find the perfect partner). I was a medium planter for the first 1.5 years of my planting career. I jumped around from a few partners and planted solo for a bit. Then I found Tim. Tim and I clicked as planters and got along.
