Winter work around Moncton?
I know this is a long shot but anybody know of any work around Moncton, surveying, layout, thinning... my bush experience is pretty much just planting for the past 10 years, some manual brushing and burning on top of that. Lots of data entry and analysis too but not in the bush. I'm gonna go spend t...

4 baggers, well that depends on your style, I don't use them and on the coast I never wish I had them, but I prefer light bagger ups. You'll have to find out what works for you, if it's better to gain speed and work your piece/bagging up so that you don't lose too much time doing that than don't loa...

I'm sure however that someone could write a book based on their experiences and explore the crazy bush camp parties and culture, I know there's tons to write about, but she wrote about her experience and it seems like the bulk of her work was coastal. I think it was awesome, I don't work for Bivouac, but the book is dedicated to the tribe, so maybe not to you (nor to me). But if you don't like it you don't like and that's that, reasons come after. It might be more expensive, (I haven't actually compared) but the meat is damn good at Quality Foods (vs Superstore) in Campbell, if you like to stock up for several weeks, get your meat and run the isles for stuff you want on sale at Quality Foods, then get the rest of your stuff at Superstore, usu...

Many tree planters in/around Moncton this time of the year?
I'm looking into the possibility of having a screening of Franz Otto Ultimate Highballer in Moncton. I've never organized this kind of thing, and one question that was put to me was how many people I thought would show up. I guess that depends a lot on the amount of tree planters in the area. So I'm...

I don't see what's the Hamster's problem here. If you want to save time, maybe this tool will help. If you have enough time and mobility (big factor) you can just pop into town and figure it out (way more fun, but not always practical).

The idea of ticks used to freak me out, but I think it was because of all the hype around them (like you'll get lime disease and die for sure or whatever). Ok, very basic question about acquiring contracts. How do contractors get contracts without low-balling? I know there's the option of bidding really high and when everyone else can't do the contract you get to do it. But that is no guarantee and you can't make up a season depending on that. Then the...

That's the thing, I was there and the lowest was 15 cents for prepped, raw was around 20 cents.
