Actually Leader did want the work, but our intent was to pay the planters .23 to .30 cents.We are very happy with this price. Leader and Fieldstone were just throwing in high bids as they don't really want the work obviously.

A couple of points to ponder: - Is the spraying broadcast or spot? If it's broadcast you can probably do close to 3-4 ha if the ground is flat and free of slash. Negative factors on broadcast spraying include wind and rain. Spot application (spraying individual trees) takes more time so think more a...

Herein lies the problem. By law, they must pay every two weeks in full. Stop accepting advances as a mode of payment. You are encouraging company owners to take more work than they can handle.

If you were paid 2.00 dollars per tree for screefing I am sure you would not complain.
Remember that screefing is to ensure better survival of the seedlings. What's the point of planting a tree in dry twigs or heavy grass if it won't make it?

As far as I've heard it's all just speculation that Khaira is somehow related to Dewan or Tiger. Both of those companies have been around longer than Khaira was. How about AKD Reforestation? I hear they just lowballed a BCTS job in Quesnel at a bid of 22 cents. Maybe they're related? AK D and Dewan...
