Free Planting Gear in Victoria

I'm taking the year off / possibly retiring for good (never say never, right?) and I have some thrashed out gear I thought I'd offer here before tossing in the garbage. I know the feeling of coming out of the off season broke, desperately trying to cobble together gear to get to that first pay chequ...

Re: Where to buy caulks, or cobblers who will caulk on lower mainland/Vancouver Island?

Hoffman sells Meindls (http://www.hoffmanboots.com/category.aspx?categoryID=69) but with conversion and shipping it's probably cheaper to get a regular pair and have them caulked locally. Most any cobbler will do the job. I've had it done at Stevenson's in Victoria and Pagani & Son's in Powell R...

LiconC: 1. It's important to have a lot of socks but IMO they don't need to be especially high quality if you wear boot liners (bamas or neoprene kayaking socks) over top. So far I'm finding this pretty but unusable - in the field to enter my tree price, it says 'example 0.11' but when I try to enter the actual price, there's no period. So it comes up as $20 per tree, which would be nice, but you know, sadly that\s not the going price. If I'm missing something obvious...
