Re: Staff versus Shovel
It's an investment.. Start planting ampi-styles with as many different shovel styles as you can. I'll always argue that staff is the best way to plant without sustaining long term injury and ultimately ending your career, but it comes down to planting smart; making sure that you're new PB didn't jus...

the mechanics of the argument are simple.. take away peoples freedom-of-responsibility and they will stop acting responsibly. period The SAFEST way is for me, the person most familiar with all aspects of the job that I am undertaking, to be FULLY in charge of my situation. The only place for bama socks that I understand is with Vikings, which I deem to be the worst planting footwear available. It seems that if a boot isn't made to be compatible with a winter liner there isn't enough room for custom insoles and Bamas, and buying oversized boots to accommodate Bamas alw...

Not getting injured on the block is about being absolutely aware of your surroundings at all times. It shouldn't be so much of a debate that injury is preventable, but it's not surprise that when you slap all these requirements onto us we're going to get distracted by it and mad at it and we're goin...

Re: 2012 Public Bid Results
I love to hate scumbags based on principles, and so I really don't want to guide attention away from the bottom-lining suits that make these bids, but one has to address the method behind the madness. The very structure of the BCTS bidding ensures that the quality of trees are bad, planter safety is...

I planted with a short staff for a bunch of year. in fast ground it can work well. but its a big move to be efficient with a staff. the only thing i got out of it is a muscle imbalance in my back, a bad elbow and a bad wrist. the back injury forced me to rock a short D, the shortest I can find (am ...

Kevlar underwear or ass plug, I bet you could get one in baby blue to match your safety headwear.
Maybe a fencing mask too, just to reduce the risk of injury from self inflicted shovel/face related injuries.
......nope, that's all I got.

Hard Hat Safety
