i've usually just had them rework so they would get the message. If top quality producers can plant well the "slut pounders" can too. If not, sometimes they must just realize that they are not in the same league as true quality highballer planters and deal with it. They can be mentally tax...

Yup yup! Too much emphasis on uber ballers or very high producers in the camp cost elimination narrative in my opinion..

Presuming that a company will increase tree prices and by what percent with a winning higher bid price is tricky. Most probably will but not necessarily. It would be nice to hear about tree price increases from Companies that have essentially the same contract/ground as last year and what if any inc...

if appropriate in the steeps you would want a 40cc type brush saw with throttle on the shaft so it can be used without being hooked up to you or a harness.
many a times i've used one, one handed to reach out quite far.
make sure to take the spark arrestor screen out as soon as you have it..

Good read Scooter. A few thoughts: Not all high producers are quality planters. This can lead to problems that do have a cost. I have intentionally positioned "slowish/average" planters with stellar quality in key bloc sections to minimize the chance of having to many plots in the borderli...

Also a Certified /Qualified person can train planters to be deemed "qualified" to make assessment calls in the field so as to have them be somewhat accountable as well.

Re: 2018 Public Bid Results
AB Beetle contracts had 40% Experience/History/Capacity and a 60% Price Bid breakdown.
This is not in itself bad but it does give leeway to the selection committee to use that 40% to make decisions that are not necessarily black and white.
