Re: 2018 Public Bid Results

The contractor I've been probing for is paying 20% less per site than previous years. Yes the end of MPB surveys in Alberta is nigh!!

Re: Dewan Enterprises

Yeah, that sounds like a horrible experience, and well worthy of a warning for others to stay away... but it sounds like you did get paid in the end. I just don't see why you would bother posting four months later, slamming the guy for having a winter job and eating noodles. Like so effing what! Big...

Re: Dewan Enterprises

Also, his "Crazy" nickname could be a result of his name starting with a "c". In my lifetime I've met a handful of "Crazy Carls", but neither one of them was truly crazy. If you want me to hate this guy, you'll have to be a lot more convincing.

Re: Dewan Enterprises

Hmm... well, sometimes snow has to be shovelled and kimchi noodles are delicious to some. Does doing/eating these things really make this Corey fella a bad guy?

This has to be the funniest rookie question I've seen posted yet! I'm glad he asked it here and not one of the FB forums. Best of luck on your rookie season, ankhmor. You will be tested, but you will come out alive... In a few pieces, but alive.

Yup, incredible work here Scooter! I also have to second Rainman by saying that the planting community needs to spend less time on that other forum over there in Facebook-la-la-land and spend more time over here... Guess people are just more interested in watching other people's dramas unfold than p...

Re: Why Aren't Stashers Being Dealt With?

If you are accusing someone of stashing, you are probably in denial because you are slow as f@ck. only bitter low ballers accuse highballers of stashing. Quit your bitching and plant more trees, or you could move to a company were that kind of slutty attitude is unacceptable. I'm hardly slow as f*@...

Re: Why Aren't Stashers Being Dealt With?

I think it's about time this subject was addressed on this site. I personally think it's a much bigger problem than most people think it is, which I think is why it's so rarely talked about. Let's face it, every company has a notorious highballer who is also a notorious stasher, but who is never out...

Thanks Scooter. I'll be passing through both Nanaimo and Courtenay so will stock up there. I was just thinking that there must be some place in CR for gear.

Here's a video of planting some of the hoe plowed land with WW. The three types of land planted are rips (giant trenches), hoe plow (3-5 tree lines scattered through the land), and direct (unscarified). Contract minimum is 1.2m, 1600 stems/ha-- (no those aren't double plants). https://www.youtube.c...

I've done the odd season with them here and there. For anyone who lives in Prince George and wants to work from home, this is a pretty decent opportunity. Pricing: - Overall I would say that they are slightly above average for the industry (nothing under 14, rarely anything over 16). The only negati...

Re: What's your second favorite flagging tape colour?

I agree, blue definitely stands out the best in nearly every environment I've planted in. However, that could just be because blue is all I ever choose to use – on the very rare occasion where I'm forced to use another colour, I find it very debilitating.
