Balsam - Needles have blunt ends and are often notched at the tip. They are blue-green with a single white band on the top and two beneath. I was always mystified how you could spend $20 - $40 on a water container, and given a week it would be leaking. Yet I could spend $2 on a 2L of pop, get to drink the pop and then use the pop container for much more then a month. Why can't the water people make unleakable container, I dont know....

My camp supervisor has a no gas can as water jug rule.... he feels that it is a safety issue.

I would suggest buying a four litre container of juice and use it for a water jug, they never leak strangely enough!

I swear by these gloves (the blue ones not the webbies) for early season cold mornings and for rain days. I think they rock, but they aren't cheap. Once you get planting hard a pair typically lasts me no more then 5 - 7 planting days.
