never use cotton as rain gear. wool is ok, synthetics are best......you will never stay entirely dry.....keep moving, keep warm, don't stop and, close to the end of the day when everyone else is as soaked as you are, sit in the truck and eat or drink or smoke something and go home and dronk beer.......

many contractors, and some tfl licensees refuse to allow dogs. a few years back one of our drivers ran over a dog and killed it.no way i would sit in a vehicle with a wet animal. i'm serious about going out and working, not babysitting some dumb animal.

bought the black tusks by phone from a logging camp on the mid-coast, had them flown in, dealer in Campbell River wouldn't take them back (i wore them for about 6 hours), no one on the crew wanted to buy them, ended up tossing them out...too much trouble to carry them around... the number of contractors bidding the coast is smaller than the interior. the coastal planting is a little more technical. coastal planting contracts cost more per planter to implement and run.unless a spot opens up, perhaps two, on a crew of perhaps 20-25 planters, a contractor does not want to get...

should you decide to plant on the coast, you should have a pair of rubber corks (either the orange ones or the lace-up ones, they will both cost about $135.....the orange ones are a pain to take off when wet)......for the times when it gets really wet...........AND a pair of Vibergs, from the viberg...

for some years now, bc has had several programmes through the mof which, depending on how much land you have (10 acres for some, 15 for others), aid in the planting, spacing and general clean-up of that land....perhaps ontarion has similar programmes....
