BOOK LAUNCH • EXHIBITION • ART MARKET
Produced and curated by Allison Henry and Kelly Zantingh as the Carrying Root Collective, this exhibition will explore the life cycle of trees and the human impact on landscape. This show will coincide with the launch of A Fresh Coat of Grit and a New Layer of Dust, a collaborative project that offers a closer look at the workers behind reforestation. This photobook presents a series of portraits of tree planters working in remote areas of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
This exhibition will also include an art market selling screen-printed t-shirts, prints, patches, zines and books made by the Carrying Root Collective.

Produite et organisée par Allison Henry et Kelly Zantingh, le collectif Carrying Root vous présente cette exposition qui explorera le cycle de la vie des arbres et l'impact humain sur le paysage. Cet évènement coïncidera avec le lancement de A Fresh Coat of Grit and a New Layer of Dust, un projet collaboratif qui permet d'examiner de plus près le quotidien des travailleurs derrière le reboisement. Le livre photographique présente une série de portraits de planteurs d'arbres qui travaillent dans des régions reculées de la Colombie-Britannique, de l'Alberta, du Manitoba et de l'Ontario.
Cette exposition vous permettra également de visiter un marché d’art, où seront vendus des chandails sérigraphiés, des estampes, des timbres et des « zines » réalisés par le Collectif Carrying Root.
