I just found this link on the internet:
http://www.scottandstewart.com/Employme ... ion_sh.htm
It talks about a company that plants in the Maritimes. The info is out of date now (2004) but gives you a small amount of info about what to expect company organization to be like in the Maritimes.

S&S
I've worked for this company the last three years and so far Ive had no complaints, 7c a tree, 8c if un scareified, and the occasional fill lpant and big stock tree for 12-20c. You probably want to try to get on a Neenah paper crew because although the drives are farther the land is better and there are bigger blocks so you you don't have to move around all the time like the private crews do in this company. Land is pretty rocky out here but last two years have been pretty good and we've been getting some pretty creamy sites, ez to put 3000 trees in. If your a production planter you will get better land then everyone else and they will not care as much about quality so thats always a bonus.
