I am a filmmaker looking for Franz Otto

Gossip, rumours, and random thoughts. Imagine 1000+ people sitting around a campfire: planters, foremen, owners, and foresters. Add kegs. Now imagine the chaos.

I am a filmmaker looking for Franz Otto

Post by adamhump » Sat May 02, 2009 4:50 pm

Does anybody online know Franz Otto?

Have you heard about him in passing, maybe, like 'I've heard he is living in ______ and doing _______'?

I am interested in getting in touch with him.

my email is: adamhump@gmail.com

Thank You.

He used to run a company called "Puck," I believe. If someone here can remember what town, you might be able to try directory assistance.

Or be patient, and someone who knows him will probably pass along your contact info ...

Last I heard was the summer before last he ran a show out of Prince George.

Other than that, I worked with his nephew at Windfirm's summer plant last year. But anyways, I'm sure other people round here have better details.

Sebastian is correct, the last I heard he was in the PG area, I ran into him one time on a cut block outside of Hixon, just an hour south of PG, he was taking a day off from Puck to go fishing

Last time I saw Franz he was hanging off the bridge over the Skeena river. The next day there was a steady stream of sweat pouring off the brim of his ballcap as he was pounding! Never since have I seen such balls of steel! That was 1994.

Thats really great info!!! Get on that lead, Adam Hump!!! He's probably not gone far from that bridge in the past 15 years.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong

Sorry to AdamHump for my frivolous nostalgic post about Franz. I do not know where he is. I am not sorry however to "Hamsterhumper" for wasting his time reading it. Clearly Adam is looking for a legend and not some blowhard "Hamsterhumper".

Hey Adam, I am sorry but only have a couple Franz stories but have a couple friends that were friends/colleagues I could probe for more that worked with Franz on a more consistant basis. They dazzled camps with stories of him. I only had a few run-ins with him but after all I had heard over the years, was more than true! The man was/is an extremist in all aspects of his life as far as could tell. Will email you with more info when I contact my buddies. I will get on it tomorrow.

Cheers, THE CHUMP.
