I listened to this initially thinking it was a cover of:

"Blackfly" by wade hemsworth.

A nice version, sung by the composer, accompanied by the McGarrigle sisters, with hysterical animation was done by the National Film Board. (Our tax dollars at work...) here:

"Blackfly" is one of my favourite childhood animations. I don't know if anyone will remember this one:
