Looking for Quad Injury Photos

This one is pretty self-explanatory. This part of the forums is specifically intended to collect health, safety, training, and related information. Unsafe Is Unacceptable.

Looking for Quad Injury Photos

Post by plantingscotland »

We are doing a safety update for our planters. A couple of years ago I came accross an accident report showing what happens if you come off a quad and aren't wearing a helmet - not pretty! I cant find it now though! Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!

Here is a link to WorkSafeBC's hazard alert page. You can use the search function to find ATV incidents and other useful items.
http://www2.worksafebc.com/publications ... alerts.asp

Here is a link to the BC Forest Safety Council alerts page:
http://www.bcforestsafe.org/safety_info ... etins.html
It also has a database you can review and mine for good items.

You can also subscribe to both systems. Sharing alerts that are relevant to your workplace is a great way to engage employees on important topics. The quad and helmet issue is a critical one.

I know what you mean, there was a post I put up here a couple years ago that showed the guy from Woodlands that was doing contract work for MW in northern Alberta. A couple hundred stitches. I just tried to find it with a quick search but couldn't think of a good keyword that would find it. I'll dig around next week when I have more time.

oooooooh yes that's the one, Thanks. More gruesome than I remember, but a good training aid in the safe use of quads, wearing of helmets.
