The following is an index of companies that have topics in this section of the message board, listed alphabetically so it's easier for people to find info about a particular company. I don't know why I didn't think to do this years ago. Of course, don't forget that there's also a search bar at the top right of this board.

At the moment, I am including very little or no information about each company on this list. After all, if you go into that company's topic, you can learn about the company anyway.

At some point in the future, I'm going to try to find the time to create a more detailed and accurate summary for each company to list here, a couple sentences long. Just the basics. The info that I posted tonight is just a hint of what can be written.

To keep this topic from getting cluttered and disorganized, I'm going to lock it. I'm also turning it into a sticky, so it stays at the top of the page. If you find information on this page that is incorrect, I'd appreciate if you could take the time to make a post in the relevant company's topic, where I'll see it. Where appropriate, I'll also update the short description on this page.

We have a lot of regular readers of this message board, with a huge amount of industry experience. I'd really appreciate if a number of our users could flip through any of the companies that they've worked for, and post any relevant updates. Even if you're not writing a full review, just a few quick facts would be really helpful to increase the currency and utility of the companies section. Some of the key points that I'll eventually include in the company summaries on this page will be:
- Is the company still operating? If so, in what area(s)?
- How large is this company (I'm calling it small for <50 employees, medium for 50-100, and large for >100 employees).
- What types of forestry activities do they do (planting/brushing/spacing/wildfire/herbicide/surveys)?
- Who are the principals (owners/directors)?

And if you want to post info about a company, send me an email at jonathan.scooter.clark@gmail.com. Tell me your preferred username, and I'll set up an account for you. Plus that way, you'll see a lot more of this message board that is hidden from the public.

Most importantly, just because a particular company is on this list should not be construed as an endorsement! There are some really shitty companies on this list. Some of these companies break the law, and contravene numerous provincial labour standards. Do some significant research and due diligence before agreeing to work for any particular company!

Provincial Employment Standards Regulations
