Info wanted on how to start a planting company

I have seen your site while surfing the net. I was just wondering if you know where i could get some info on how to start a tree planting company and how i could get more informed on the type of work involved. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever planted before? The industry is a very, very complex one. I would not suggest that anyone even consider starting a tree planting company without having at least six to eight years of experience in the industry. Bidding is so tight in most cases that anyone but the smartest of operators can get slaughtered financially. Even the established companies right now usually operate by losing money on a significant portion of their contracts, breaking even on others, and hoping that a few work out well enough that the company can survive another year. If you are really keen to start your own company, first spend several seasons planting, and then you'll know where to begin.
