Random poll for coastal planters: slash vs hills?
I've been trying to decide lately what annoys me more: heavy coastal slash (like on heli-logged blocks), or extremely steep slopes (like 70% and up). I can't decide.

Steep = Sore Feet
Steep means fall risk.
Heavy slash + steep = rolling log risk....

I'd rather be in the wilderness.

as long as the price is good and the land is soft, it makes no difference.
don't fall off a cliff and don't get jill-poked in the slash.

Re: Random poll for coastal planters: slash vs hills?
I'd take the hills 95% of the time. I'm short so I find my lower centre of gravity makes it really easy to motor across the hillsides, vs. finding it more difficult to move through deep slash like some of the taller guys I plant with.
The only exception would be on really hot days, especially going up with full bags, but then I've never been a hot weather planter.

Hey Scooter... may I suggest you consider a more positive approach to your poll question; which would you prefer to work? heavy slash on relatively flat ground OR super steep ground with minimal slash ........ I just wanted to comment on the negative connotation inherent in the question.
keep up the good work

Hey newb,
Like your photos. I hope you don't mind if I tweaked your one photo that lacked proper white/black levels as well as contrast.
Cheers

oh ya that looks way better.
I'd take steep hills over heavy slash any day. (both at the same time is a bit of a bummer though.)

I don't care so long as its priced right. Thats all cream is; a good price, not land. Hell I'll take steep and slashy if its priced right.
