4 eyed planters

Post by Mike D »

I've been planting for quite a few years and never really put any effort into figuring out how to deal with wearing eye glasses, whilst planting. Does anybody out there have any tricks to make life easier for four-eyed planters (ie; wearing sport frames, or using anti-fog spray)?

I got laser eye surgery and it was the best money I've ever spent. Changed my life, both in terms of planting and in real life. Of course, not everybody wants to do that, or is physical able to have their eyesight corrected that way.

I bought prescription safety glasses, they survive the bush better, and I was tired of catching twigs under my glasses and scratching my eyelids.

It's funny, in all my years, I never scratched a cornea from a stick-poke directly when I was NOT wearing safety glasses, but the one time that I did get an eye injury, it was when I was wearing glasses and a twig caught in behind my glasses and tore my cornea. Two days wearing an eye patch.

I'm not suggesting that I believe safety glasses are more dangerous than not wearing any, of course. That was just one of life's little ironies.
