Don't bother trying unless you have close to 20 years experience with half that being coastal old growth. Pretty much word of mouth to get on and references are not given easily.

rainforest sounded like just about the top coastal crew one could hope to get on with. before all the coastal underbidding, after that someone mentioned prices weren't as great as they used to be. but that was across the board i imagine. anyhow i hope they're still around.

Hi Mike,

I hope you had a successful first coastal season. I think you did very well to end up working where you were. You seemed to enjoy planting and that's awesome. Keep it up and always be conscious of efficiency while you gain your coastal experience. Working hard is a given in planting, but working smart will lead to many years of increased coastal production and strengthen your quality as well.

I am enjoying a little bit of "ball" down at Kits Beach, in between the work I am doing to line up our Fall plant.

Yes, but smaller program this year. Spots even more limited this year. Unless your a very regular, regular not much chance of work.

best chance of getting on is to be ready to jump on a plane at end of may, when 60 days of coastal heli have broken down someone on the crew and a spot needs filling... good luck
