tonight we dine in boot town

And that's what I'm gonna do. Wait, sorry, I got distracted. Everyone talks about boots, so they get their own special forum.

tonight we dine in boot town

I am required to wear steel toe boots this summer for planting. I'm having difficulty finding ones that are waterproof. Does anyone know of any retailers in Edmonton AB that offer boots that are both waterproof and steel toe? I hate rubber boots with all my heart and sole.

If you got the moola get some Vibergs. All leather, fully waterproof. A guy I planted with last year was in his 6th season with the same pair of Vibergs. Yes, ONE pair of boots, SIX seasons. I was so impressed I got some myself and I must say they are dang comfy. I don't know if there's a retailer in Edmonton, check out http://www.workboot.com[/url]

the orange monsters (aka. viking black tusks) are fully waterproof, the half-leathers or the full rubbers both.

Yeah, I've worked on a lot of contracts where in the fine print, it specifies that planters are required to wear steel-toed footwear. But I've never seen foresters walking around to check that. The only time it comes up is when they see someone planting in sneakers, and usually, if someone is planting in sneakers, I've already told them they're an idiot not to have better boots.
