Caulking boots???
Caulking boots???
I've got a pair of Scarpa Manta boots. Is there any reason I can't drill some holes in the soles and screw in some caulks?? Will they stay in?? Has anyone done this to a vibram sole boot??

This makes about as much sense as turning a horse into a unicorn by jamming a stick in its forehead. Take the boots to a cobbler, who will probably replace the entire sole. It costs about 150 bucks.

I doubt very much the chaulks would stay in, as the real chaulk sole has an embedded metal thread in them. A brand new pair of Viking black tusk chaulks are $220 at Deakin.

Exactly, everyone knows it works much better with a donkey.The_Bearslayer wrote:This makes about as much sense as turning a horse into a unicorn by jamming a stick in its forehead.
