Hardhat with Headphone Speakers?

Post by Scooter »

Hey Tnalp or anyone else, do any of you know anything about hardhats with a set of headphones built into the hearing protection cups? I think I remember seeing these online somewhere, but I'm wondering where to find them, and if they work. I'm don't usually listen to music when I'm doing work, but I've been doing a lot of chain saw work over the past few weeks, and I think this is one of the few tasks where I'd like to use an iPod while I'm working.

I've seen them in Jonsered hard-hats but never new if the person had just modified them themselves...

They list "hearing protection with FM radio" as a possible accessory so there must be something there.

I just threaded my headphones under the muffs and it worked fine, of course only with bud style headphones.

Great catalog. I just spent twenty minutes looking through it. I was actually curious about where to get earth augers too (for a fence-line on one of my properties). I had no idea that Stihl made them.

I like that catalog too. I usually have that on my laptop wherever I work, along with the catalogs for Commercial Solutions, Ono Trading and IRL.
