Re: 78 Days is finally available
It was an enjoyable film to watch. With any story there are multiple angles to view it from, it appears Jason chose to highlight some of the more difficult aspects of the work in order to create a source of conflict in the film. There's scenes of people losing their minds out on the block for example. The resolution to the conflict comes at the end of the season of course, when people are shown to be vacationing in Mexico for the winter. It's a very interesting film to watch as a planter. Coworkers have told me that they really enjoyed showing it to family and friends in order to show the nature of the work that they engage in each summer. The site has an option for rental to stream the movie for $10, I would say that it is money well spent. I'd encourage everyone to view the film.
