I have a basic training book and reference manual on Amazon now. It's aimed primarily at new planters, or people who foolishly think they want to become a tree planter. Some of the material is based on the training series that's found in another section on this message board, although I've tried to include a lot of additional information in the book. Here's a link with more info:

Re: Step By Step, A Tree Planter's Handbook
The 2019 Editions are now available on Amazon. There's a full-color version (which is fucking expensive, because it's almost 500 pages in full-colour), and a much more affordable budget version with a black & white interior.

The content of both versions is exactly the same. The cheap one is only referred to as the "Student Greyscale Workbook" on the front cover because I was trying to sneak it back Amazon as a different book. I produced the grey-scale edition to make it as cheap as possible, because I'm trying to get this into the hands of as many first-year planters as possible. I'm not trying to make any money from it.
Many thanks to half a dozen of the regulars on these forums who helped make contributions to this book.
