These are a few random pictures from the summer 2001 season.

The yard at the office, as the camps start coming in at the end of the season. It gets to be quite a traffic jam for a week or so at this time of year.

Our office, at 1077 Eastern Street in Prince George.

One of the Prince George pulp mills, hard at working polluting the air with ... steam. Yes, the mills invest a lot of money to remove chemicals so there isn't any real pollution. Despite this, Prince George still has its very own characteristic smell from the milled fibre.

Photo

Greg Nolli at the shop, making some ramps to load quads into a truck.

Photo

The back storage area at Folklore. It's pretty empty right now, since it's the middle of the season and we have six camps working right now.

A pesticide warning on the top flap of one of the tree boxes.

A newly planted pine seedling.

A black bear.

A deer.

Photo

A moose crossing the highway.

Photo

Caro Loiselle, our accountant. Here she's laughing because she spends more time processing pay cheques than most planters spend planting.

Photo

Dwayne, waving as he grabs finishes securing my trailer (with the broken axle) to his flatbed, to bring it and a cook shack back from Whitecourt to Prince George.

Photo

Aaron Whitehouse, supervisor.

Photo

An elk, sitting down in a field to eat some grass for lunch.

Photo

A heron, looking for fish.

Photo

An eagle, balancing precariously on the top of a tree.

Some mountain goats near Hinton.

Photo

A mountain goat, showing why he's no ordinary goat.

Photo

Some sort of a rolligon machine, owned by another company, parked in Whitecourt. This machine can be used for moving boxes of trees through some pretty muddy areas.

Some fuel drums at the office.
