These pictures were taken in July of 2005, while planting for Hinton Wood Products (West Fraser, formerly Weldwood of Canada).

Breakfast on a foggy day.

Max.

Rachel.

Mike Lautsch, modelling a fine style of t-shirt. Be careful you don't throw it out with the garbage!

Alice and Conor.

Meghan and Max.

I see that Royale Pizza in Edson has a new special on the menu this month. Both our camp and Silvaram's camp had a night off the previous night - I wonder which ones did it. I have little doubt that tree planters were responsible for this editing job.

Todd.

Ben Muise.

Things aren't looking good back there.

Todd, showing off some pretty big trees.

Dustin, showing off his war wounds. It was Dustin's first day of work, and a tree fell on him. Luckily, he mostly got hit by just some branches, because it was a pretty big tree and could have been a lot more serious.

Colin, our liaison from West Fraser.

Stuck yet again.

Ben Harper. This would be an especially funny photo if the brand was Minute Man rather than Minute Maid.

Drew, grabbing something from the walk-in cooler.

Shellagh and Andy, striking the pose.

Aaron.

Megan.

A nice photo of a mushroom growing out of horse manure in the middle of the road, taken at sunset.

Foreman Tim Bachiu.

Crystal picked this nice bouquet of flowers on the block. You can see Ben in the background, dreamily hoping that she gives it to him.

Camp got hit by a tornado one sunny afternoon. It completely tore apart one of the showers, as you can see, but didn't even touch the other shower tent that was only five feet away. It also touched down a second time and completely lifted the mess tent up into the air, then set it back down without any damage.

Shannon (Silviculturalist of West Fraser), checking out some trees on one of her visits to the block.

A pretty blue flower.

This quad is being hauled back to the shop for parts. This is what happens when a foreman forgets to tie down the quad in the back of the truck. That happened twice this season, although luckily neither incident happened in our camp.

Jason.

Two of our trucks on a landing, with a pile of tree boxes. You can also see a drilling rig in the background.

Sitting on the side of the Yellowhead highway, waiting for the chopper.

Andrea and Elissa, amusing themselves while they wait for a late reefer.

This truck needs a bit of body work. Luckily, it didn't belong to our company.

Paul, waiting for the reefer.

Planning how to approach the plotting of the heli blocks.

The 7-11 Peppermint Cappuchino, a wonderful treat on a day of planting.
