Loading up one of the trucks from the reefer.

An aspen deck (looks like Cottonwood, but isn't) on a block.

A main block cache.

Propane tanks by the cook trailer. When you dig them in this deep (24" buried), you know that they're safe.

Whiteboards in the mess tent with the daily locations and messages.

Driving the Argo up onto the flad-deck trailer.

Christina, posing on the Unimog. Stihl would be jealous!

Jim, talking about the Unimog, with Jay.

The control panel for the Unimog. Most of the labels are written in German, so I've decided to learn German so I can be a better driver.

Paul Berg's crew, posing in front of the Unimog.

An abandoned hunter's cabin on the edge of the block.

The shower tents.

Stephane got creative with dinner on this evening, and cooked up a nice salad, rice, and whole trout.

Mark Cook, working on digging holes for the outhouses.

Our fuel cache.

This looks like I've superimposed a photo of Dave onto a photo of the toilet seat.

More outhouse construction.

Oh wait! Dave was really checking out the engineering on the outhouses (before they were christened, of course).

Foreman Tim Bachiu.

Our first aid tent.

Scooter, waiting for inspiration.

Eight truckloads of empty cardboard boxes, piled up inside the burner at the Red Earth dump. I wish I could have seen that when it got burned - I bet it would have made the metal in the incinerator glow pretty brightly!

Muddy ruts going into our blocks. You can see the planting shovel in one of the ruts to give you a sense of how deep they are. The Unimog had no trouble getting through this stuff, although the trucks certainly would have gotten stuck.

Stephane, our cook.
