These pictures were taken in May and June of 2013, while working for Millar Western Forest Products in Alberta.

Wilson.

The sunset had such crazy colors when I took this.

Going nowhere fast.

Mike.

Our A-Star (B2).

Using the long-line to pick up slings.

Luke.

Jim & Scooter.

This road was a bit soupy.

Rainbow at the Whitecourt Petro-Can Cardlock.

Alyx.

Dan Coffey, giving dance lessons when he should be loading slings.

The helicopter.

Slinging trees.

My truck looks especially dirty when it's parked on the runway beside the helicopter.

Treeplanter Paddy.

One of my more brilliant moves. There was nothing to winch the truck to, not even any stumps that I could dig under, but there was a culvert in the road. I stuck a log into the culvert and wrapped the winch cable around it to pull the truck out. Necessity breeds invention.

Luke.

Eric, walking into a block.

One of our green Millar Western blocks.

Wilson, hooking up a sling.

Crew meeting, Andrew's crew.

Scott, cleaning out the helicopter. Some of my planters wear caulks so we take the floor mats out of my truck to put them into the helicopter, so the caulks don't damage the floor.

A typical muddy/wet/miserable day in Alberta.

Nick.

Simon.

Some of Wilson's crew, walking into a block. Alberta seems to be full of walk-in blocks.

Picking up a sling.

Sunset. On the move to the next contract.
